Glimpse of Bhutan

4 Days

Overview

Travelers who don't have a lot of time but still want to see the country's most recognizable landmarks will appreciate this condensed yet all-encompassing overview of Bhutan's top attractions.

Stop by Bhutan's capital, Thimphu, and the scenic Paro Valley, about 2,500 meters above sea level. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and the magnificent Tashichho Dzong while in Thimpu. The takir is Bhutan's national animal, so be sure to see one if you can at a zoo. Next, we'll get in the car and go to Kuenselphodrang, where we can see the largest Buddha statue in the world and have lunch while taking in the breathtaking vistas of the valley below. One of Bhutan's most recognizable landmarks is the mystical "Tiger's Nest" monastery, which can be seen from afar if you take a trek to Paro.
